How to post to social media from Claude

Claude is good at writing posts. With Hey Tasky added as a connector, it can also put them on your calendar: draft for review, schedule for a time, and check how they did, without copying text between tabs.

Setup

Connect Claude in 4 steps

You need a Hey Tasky workspace with at least one social account connected. Connect X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Mastodon, or another network in Hey Tasky first, so Claude has somewhere to post.

  1. Open Connectors

In Claude, go to Customize, then Connectors. Click "+ Add", then "Add custom connector".

On a Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner adds it once under Organization settings, Connectors, Add, Custom, Web. Members then click Connect.

  2. Add the Hey Tasky server

Name it Hey Tasky, paste the server URL below, and click Continue.

  3. Sign in to Hey Tasky

Choose "Sign in now" and keep the default registration option. A Hey Tasky window opens: sign in and approve access.

  4. Check it works

Start a new chat and ask which Hey Tasky workspace Claude is connected to and which accounts it can post to. Claude calls get_account and list_channels and lists your connected accounts.

Capabilities

What Claude can do in Hey Tasky

These are the tools Hey Tasky's MCP server gives Claude. Ask for a draft when you want to read a post before it goes out; a scheduled post publishes on its own at the time you set.

list_channels
Lists the accounts connected to your workspace, with the ids the agent needs to target them.
list_social_sets
Lists your social sets, such as one brand across X and Threads, so you can say "post this to my text list".
create_post
Saves a draft you review and schedule later in Hey Tasky. Nothing is published.
schedule_post
Schedules a post to one or more channels at an exact time. Hey Tasky publishes it automatically.
get_queue
Reads what is scheduled, published, or failed.
get_post_results
Returns impressions, likes, replies, reposts, and quotes for published posts, where the network reports them.
list_replies
Pulls replies to your posts, sorted into leads, questions, and praise.
get_best_times
Suggests weekday and hour slots from how your posts performed over the last 90 days.
get_account
Confirms which workspace and timezone the agent is working in.
Good to know

Before you rely on it

  • Ask for drafts until you trust the setup. A draft waits in Hey Tasky for you; a scheduled post publishes on its own at the time you set.
  • Prefer a key over sign-in? Choose "No sign in" and add a request header named authorization with the value Bearer YOUR_API_KEY. Create an API key in Hey Tasky under Settings, Developers. Treat it like a password: anyone with the key can post to your workspace.
  • Claude cannot edit saved connector credentials. To change a key, remove the connector and add it again.

Only when you ask it to schedule. Ask for drafts and the posts wait in Hey Tasky for you to review and schedule yourself.

Which social networks can Claude post to?

Every account you have connected in Hey Tasky, such as X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, and Mastodon. Claude asks Hey Tasky for the list before posting.
